Georgette Heyer

Just finished re-reading Georgette Heyer’s, “Black Sheep.”  Wonderful stuff. Just love it.

Comments on review of “Letter From A Dead Man.”

Some great comments on Margot Kinberg’s lovely review of “Letter From A Dead Man.”  In particular that the line— ‘no man, however amiable, would allow me the independence I am accustomed to. And that is something I am not prepared to give up,’ sounds like something straight out of “Pride and Prejudice.”

Georgette Heyer

Georgette Heyer has always been my favourite author.  A good friend introduced me to her when I was in my twenties and I have read all her Regency books many times over since.  “Venetia” is probably the one I like best, although that can change. I love “A Civil Contract,” too.  “The Reluctant Widow,” and “The Unknown Ajax,” are close behind, as is “Arabella,” and “The Black Sheep.”  I could go on……….

Built a snowman today, but now the snow is melting a little, his eyes, nose and hat have fallen off.  Two minutes ago his head rolled off.  Does nothing last?!!

Offering “Letter From A Dead Man” free on Amazon for one day was amazing!  It finished 9th in Amazon’s UK top 100 historical fiction downloads.  And 35th in the USA.
